In order for KentuckyCAN to really function and promote college access initiatives throughout the state, KentuckyCAN depends on the ideas, suggestions, and efforts of its membership. Please consider getting involved in these activities to help KentuckCAN to promote college access:
We need help in not only identifying new members, but also in identifying college access providers in your local community. If you are aware of a boys club, a church group, or any other community-based organization that is working to encourage young people to go to college, please let KentuckyCAN know. We want to build a directory of college access providers statewide and post contact information by city on the KentuckyCAN website. Coming Soon
New College Access Initiatives
Please notify us of any new college access programs you may become aware of so we can include them in our directory. Also, if you have a new college access program idea you wish to suggest for possible funding, please share and we will try to assist in securing funding and/or support for such an effort. Coming Soon
Share some of your own best practices in working with students and/or older adults to encourage and motivate them to attend college. We will post these “best practices” on our website for everyone to see.
Please take time to review and download the college access campaign media programs for radio and tv ads to promote college access. Let us know if the radio and tv stations in your community agree to use them.
If you are aware of a college access program or an individual involved in college access program work that deserves special recognition, please let us know so that we may highlight that program or person on our website.
Useful Website Links
If you have recommendations of other college access websites that you wish to see on our site, please forward the web address of the program so we may add it to our list of national, state or local websites.
Please let us know of upcoming college access events and/or state or regional conferences that promote college access so we may post the dates and information on the KentuckyCAN website.
If you have ideas of items that KentuckyCAN should have posted on its website, please let us know.
Thank you
